30 day Blog-a-Day Challenge
Today starts my 30 day blog-a-day challenge for my blog ! I am in the middle of a lot right now but I don't want to lose sight of all the goals that I want to accomplish with my design, illustration and etc. I don't know if I will hit my goal marker for finishing my first book because I became wrapped up in my hair/body care company that I'm and developing.

As I stated before I want to have this hair/body care biz plus the biz that I am starting with my beau. We are joining forces !
I need to have a set schedule and a goal list to accomplish everything that I want to accomplish for the long term and short term. The biggest thing that I want for both is more traffic coming to the blog. Well, both blogs. I think that developing this hair/body care will also help me to develop my art business as well because I can take what I have learned and apply here. I also received an illustrator package. It's a 12 week program that takes you from the basics to actually being paid for your work. It's really interesting and I hope to start that soon as well.
I think that having a schedule and a goal list will really pay off so that I don't end up biting off more than I can chew. I just can't focus on hair care and forget about art, or vice-versa. They are two of passions and I will just have to juggle.
Besides, I need to become even more productive and I think the challenge of juggling these two porjects will help my productivity level.

Jibber Jabber expounded upon
So I know what I DO NOT WANT TO DO...
That is graphic design, web design, blah blah blah. I'll do it the pay the bills for the time being and then whenever I feel like it, but I do not want to do that "forever."
I have a couple of projects brewing in my head right now on the illustration side, but then I've always wanted to do animation as well. I KNOW I need to educate myself about both even more (but as an artist, it's a given you will forever be a student.)to either get work/projects and or a position.
BREWING -- Natural Haircare Book for kids( specifically for boys and girls)
Where am I from series(?) I did a lay-out for a story like this for my senior project at VSU and Im just thinking of taking it further.
Historical Graphic Novel featuring female lead character. I'm thinking it would go through all the major periods in Black History. Right now its titled "Stolen"
Animation of a bouncy ball with attitude.. I have the storyboard for it already done.
ALSO; I have been two businesses in the works. One is for haircare that I might start either a blog or tumblr for and the second is a art business. My haircare name I'm debating with either Simply, Simply Marvelous or Marvel. It would be total body care for the whole family. My art business is basically what I do freelancing now but making it a legitimate business.I intend on getting business licenses for both. I would be teaming up with my boyfriend who is a comic book artist. Right now the name is Smartist Logic Artistry. The end goal for SLA would be to have a storefront. It would be a combination of a bookstore/artstore/studio/cafe. Basically it came about from me having to go to separate places to do things such as buying art books, or getting art supplies, or going somewhere to just sit and draw. I figure why not have a place when people can go and its all there. I was doing research about it and there is a market for it because it doesnt exist !!!
whew !!! I don't know if that made sense but it felt great to get it out of my head ! sheesh laweesh.

I don't use labels... maybe I should... next time..

Serious Questions
I don't know why it seems I that I have so many "art" books but have yet to completely finish one ! Let it be a graphic novel or a novel and Im all over it ! I read and finish books like I'm getting paid to do it.... so why can't I finish these books that Im more than obvious interested in and in some cases they may have less pages than a novel. I just dont get it. I read "The Help" and Nicholas Sparks "The Wedding" and "Safe Haven" in around 3-4 days. You would think that I could finish an art book, whether is technical with tuts/projects/assignments. I have stumped myself. I'll show you the three books that I have with me right now. I intend on finishing the first one by the middle of October. I think that's a reasonable goal. The other two I have to think of a gameplan because they are workbooks and one is really extensive.
also, I have so many things brewing inside my head and I need to get them out before I forget ! I think I'll make that a second blog post.
