GOSH
I am the WORST blogger ever in the history of Bloggerdom....
I have decided on my New Years Resolution. It is to be more active on my blog/youtube/vimeo accounts. At first I was feeling a bit like a looo-zah because I didnt have or care to have any resolutions... But does it really matter? They are more for 'self' anyways.
I also need to post my Happy Holidays drawing... smh.. shame shame shame on me !!!
I will do better.

Oldies but Goodies
An old animation from 2006 or 2007.. I dunno..
The object was to animate a 10 second countdown. We had to come up with 10 separate ideas, then storyboard the best one.
I draw everything out by hand. I did a pencil test and then imported everything into photoshop where I colored the images.
Then I took those badboys to Premiere and made the animation.
Anywho, old animation but I really liked my concept.. I might possibly "remix" it... lol
The animation below is just a simple morph loop. I morphed a maple leaf into a maple tree, pretty.. uh.. basic.. lol One of the first animations I did.

Thinking about waiting.
Still think I'm gonna wait about a week or so before I move on to Lesson Two. Even though I know I can draw these heads and stuff everyday, I really want to have the basic construction down pretty well. Even though I probably am fine to move on, practice makes perfect and no ones perfect, so I'll just keep practicing ! What can it hurt ? Nothing, in my opinion.
Oh, and I realized that I've 65% of the time drawn straight ahead, I get amazing results most of the time, but its cool to know that's what I did when I was younger. I would though, start with basic construction as I got older, or had a book where it showed basic construction tho.

Larry's Toon Institute
I'll lump together Lessons from both that are on the same topic. Here's a lesson on Basic Head Construction from LTI.
These are really more notes than anything. He's very descriptive. I like that. Especially the part about the eyes.
More on construction of heads. I'm nothing if thorough. : )
Here, he talks about more in-depth and detailed characters and how to go about achieving characters like that.
Lesson One Complete
ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive: Meta: The $100,000 Animation Drawing Course- Lesson 1
Scanned all of Lesson One
These Drawings are from the Preston Blair with notes.
These egg drawings are from my Model Egg
These are the first run of drawings from the Preston Blair Animation Book. I have my corrections in red pencil. Pretty much, the only problems was not paying enough attention to the little details.
Second Run, Paid more attention to the details, and had sharper pencils.. lol
Feeling Good, Feeling Great
So, yesterday I found out the Larry Lauria, whose Toon Institute I'm learning from alongside John K's has a youtube page. This youtube page led me to find out that he now has online animation vlogs where he, himself teaches animation. They are 20 bucks each. AWESOME AND CHEAP ! right up my alley. John K also has animation lessons and his are free, lol, even better. Learning from these two and my amazing google/twitter/youtube power, I feel like I'm going to be set. I feel so great. : )

YAY
Hey, I should post some of my characters from the volunteer booklet I did ! They were awesome. That project took a long time. I completely forgot about that.. wow.. Im excited to post! lol YAY
Afternoon !
I "re-found" more supplemental information on the basic head construction. So I worked through Part One, and now I'm moving on to Part Two. Then, I think I'll post my red-inked drawings of corrections and then the revised drawings. That should finish up Lesson One of the $100,000 Drawing Course !! Yay : )
I don't know if I'm going to move on to Lesson Two, or continue doing a study of basic head construction and principles. I want to make sure I have a really solid base before I move on to Squashing and Stretching, which the Lesson Two.
OH YEAH, I also found this Blog http://cartooncave.blogspot.com/ by Pete Emslie . And I came across a posting about Disney's The Princess and the Frog. It was really informative. It was mostly about Eyes, and the proper way to draw them. It's funny how paying attention the the smallest details really bring more life to your animations.

I lurve Eggs.. lol
Lesson One
Partially finished with Lesson One.. I'm still waiting on my Model Clay to dry so I can draw my faces on to them for a 3d model. It's really quite helpful.
Here are a quick couple shots of Lesson One.
Here are a quick couple shots of Lesson One.
The directions are to first of course read the material online and in the Preston Blair Book, then complete the Lessons in the PBB. Then compare your drawings to the ones in PBB, while making corrections, then draw again, using the corrections as a reference. Then post it as a link. I haven't done my corrections or second round drawings yet.
Ill post those and my eggs shortly.
A P.S.
The best things about blogs, is that they help you remember stuff you forgot.. lol Like how I forgot to post some of my daily email drawing lessons.. whoopsie daisies. lol.. Not to worry, I remembered that I forgot.. lol..
well, Back to work.
I think it would be so awesome if I actually got feedback. This drawing course is a few years old, but all the information is there for me to peruse. Even if I don't, I'll still be completing the Lessons available.

In The Beginning
Started the $100,000 Drawing Course this afternoon. It felt great. : )
I have to post my finished assignments and stuff, but I'm not done yet. I just to document that I've started it. lol.

No Title, Just Words
Today marks the start of my " Learn Stuff from John K Stuff" blogging.. I really am going to be consistent with this. Also Ive set up an account for all things animation because I subscribe to everything and this stuff was getting lost in all the emails that I receive and it's really important information to me. So now I can find it easily.
John K Stuff = Amazingly Free Stuff. THANKS :) and that is just his "teaching blog"
I've also started Daily Lessons from a couple other places as well.
AboutU:Animation - they send you daily lessons on tons of things. I currently have graphic design, desktop publishing, animation, and drawing for animation. I intend to only focus on animation and drawing for animation.
Matthew Archambault- This guy is amazing. I found him randomly on youtube and to my surprise and cries of joy that followed he has his own YT account(regular uploads I might add). Along with his own website which is a wealth of information ! I love it. So, his Daily lessons are being sent to me as well right now. This week, or currently I guess, is anatomy.
I really need to push myself, which is something I havent been doing as much, but that will end.
I really wish I had money to donate to his blog.. maybe I'll donate 5 bucks here and there.. sigh.. fashionably broke with a degree - sounds like an oxymoron.. smh
well,
Here I go.
oh oh,
I will post of all three.. but definitely of John K Stuff Stuff.. lol
